Goa in India is known for beaches and gala of parties. Did you know that Goa was earlier known as Gomantaka Kshetra, a cultural capital of Kadamba Dynasty? This vibrant spiritual city boasted many large Hindu Temples which nourished the communities around them. During the Pre – Independence period many of these wonderful temples were razed down mercilessly by Portuguese and the Christian invaders thus wiping out the glorious temple heritage of Goa.
Goa has experienced a cultural renaissance recently which has led to the discovery and renovation of lost temples. Many rulers, social entrepreneurs, social activists, GBS community members and Volunteers have jointly restored the temples in Goa. In this Goa tour we shall be seeing all these marvelous temples which otherwise are not known to people in general.
In the Goa tour we shall be visiting at least twenty temples, offer worship, hear their Stahla Puranas and enjoy their architectural beauty. This is the tour of lifetime indeed.
