Tirtha Yatra donated the shaligrama shilas to the Jagannath Mandir in Sahakarnagar in Bengaluru on the auspicious day of Rama Ekadashi during the holiest Karthika Masa.
When it comes to supporting the temples, Tirtha Yatra is always in the forefront be it monetarily or in kind. The Jagannath Temple in the AMCO Layout of Sahakarnagar in Bengaluru is operational since 2015. The temple is actively spreading the Jagannath culture in Bengaluru. On being approached by the temple priests for the shaligrama shilas for the daily worship in the temple, Sri Agrani Krishna Dasa, Founder-CEO of Tirtha Yatra immediately donated around 50 shaligrama shilas to the temple. Some of these shilas shall be kept below the ratna simhasana of Their Lordships.
Shaligrama shilas are transcendental stones found in the river Gandaki. These shilas are direct manifestations of Lord Vishnu and are adorned with the sacred signs. They are worshiped by Sanatana Dharmis with great reverence and care. Every year, the team collects hundreds of shilas whilst on the Muktinath Yatra, which are later donated to the aspiring devotees and temples for worshipping, which otherwise costs in thousands. On the auspicious day of Rama Ekadashi, during the holy month of Karthika, Sri Agrani Krishna Dasa handed over the shaligrama shilas to the temple priest amidst the chanting of the mantras and received the blessings of the devotees.
