Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Yadadri is the most famous temple of Telangana. It is glorified as the Pancha Narasimha Kshetra and the Rishi Aradhana Kshetra. The origin of Pancha Narasimha Kshetra at Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Yadadri
As per the Skanda Purana, during the Treta Yuga, Sage Yadarishi who was the son of Rishyashringa Rishi and Shanta Devi, performed tapasya on the Yadagiri hillock, within the cave, to please Lord Narasimha. Lord Narasimha was pleased by his tapasya and gave darshan in five forms – Jwala Narasimha, Gandabherunda Narasimha, Yogananda Narasimha, Ugra Narasimha and the Lakshmi Narasimha.
The sage was very much satisfied by the darshan of the Lord and blissfully requested Lord Narasimha to stay on the hill in these five forms to bless the devotees. Lord Narasimha mercifully agreed. Even today, Lord Narasimha bestows benevolence on devotees in these five forms within the cave of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Yadadri.
Some devotees say that Rishyashringa Rishi was performing the tapasya in a nearby place, around five kilometers away from the current temple. Lord Narayana instructed Hanuman to guide the rishi to the current location of the cave.
The location of Pancha Narasimhas in Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Yudari
The sacred cave in which Rishyashringa Rishi performed tapasya and achieved darshan of the Lord, lies between two hills – Bhuvanagiri and Raigiri. Within the huge temple of Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Swamy Temple Yadadri, the main garbha griha is in the form of a cave. Devotees get down into the main cave to have darshan of Sri Yogananda Narasimha who is in a seated position. Lord Jwala Narasimha is in the form of a serpent. There are silver Deities of Lord Lakshmi Narasimha who are very striking and beautiful are also present in the same place.
To the right side of the temple’s maha dwara is the Hanuman temple. Just below Hanuman, there is a long gap in the rock. This is the place where Gandabherunda Narasimha manifested. This asthanam is very famous amongst the devotees. Any wish of a devotee is fulfilled if sincerely prayed in this temple.

The ancient temple although very famous within Andhra Pradesh and the nearby states needed a long pending renovation. After the formation of a separate state of Telangana, the temple was noticed by the Government and the then Government took it up to renovate the temple on the lines of the Agama and the Shilpa Shastras. The temple was renovated beyond imagination. In the upcoming days, this is going to be prominent spot in Telangana.

The temple opens early in the morning, however public darshan begins at 7:15 am till 11:30 am. In the evening, the public darshan is available from 5 pm till 7 pm and 8:15 pm till 9:00 pm

Although one can visit the temple all throughout the year, the best time to visit is during the winter season: between November to February. Festivals like shravana masa and the Narasimha Jayati festivals are really crowded.
