Tirtha Yatra conducted a 1-day weekend tour to Chunchunakatte post Covid-19 lock down. The tour served as a relief to yatris who missed visiting temples. Every Covid-19 health safety measure was well taken care off.
During the auspicious days of Navaratri, Tirtha Yatra conducted a one day spiritually enlivening pilgrimage to Chunchunakatte – a rarely visited temple of Lord Rama having Sita Devi on His right-hand side. This temple is located on the banks of River Kaveri surrounded by the spectacular Chunchunakatte waterfalls. Here Lord Rama had blessed a tribal couple Chuncha and Chunchi. This spot was visited by Lord Rama enroute Lanka.
This one day long yatra presented a chance to savor the tranquil and spiritually surcharging ambience of Chunchunakatte to a dozen devotees from Bengaluru after a long lockdown due to the COVID-19 pandemic.
Yatris also had the fortune of having darshan of some unconventional temples in Nagamangala district like Sri Yoga Narasimha in Salagrama and Sri Sowmya Keshava Temple in Nagamangala under the banner ‘Nodi Namma Naadu’.
Yatris were also blessed by listening to the historical importance of visiting these temples as the sthala purana was narrated and melodious bhajans were sung in glorification of the temple Deity. To ensure the Yatra went seamlessly, the Yatris chanted Sri Vishnu Sahasranama and Sri Narasimha Ashtotra accompanied by the Yatra Director.
All the health safety measures were well taken care of during the Yatra while maintaining the sanctity of all the holy spots. Elements of health safety measures against COVID-19 were as follows:
the vehicle was completely sanitized thrice during the Yatra, the contact points within the vehicle were fumigated each time before the Yatris alighted the vehicle. Wearing of mask was compulsory during the yatra and their hands were sanitized regularly. Delicious sattvic food (without onion and garlic) was served sumptuously to all the yatris with utmost hygiene and was relished by one and all.
We welcome you all to re-begin your pilgrimages with Tirtha Yatra as we take care of the safety measures.
“Had a good darshan of temples we were not aware of temples as well as the history behind them. Really wonder these temples had connection with Ramayana and Mahabharata. Thanks to Bhaskar and his team for organizing such tours. Hope we meet again in future tours”. – Mohana Narasimhan
