Pancha Narasimha Kshetras are those five holy dhams where the swayambhu i.e. self-manifested Deities of Lord Narasimha appeared in the Dravida Desam region of Telangana and Andhra Pradesh in India. These temples are located on hills near the Krishna river amidst the beauty of pristine forests. Such an environment enables you to focus on the Lord and His pastimes at the dham with rapt attention.
Having darshan of Lord Narasimha at these temples is very auspicious and guarantees freedom from all problems along with liberation. Sri Rajyalakshmi Devi is the consort of Lord Narasimha at all the temples. Three of these temples are located in Andhra Pradesh and the remaining two in Telangana. They are as follows:
Sri Yogananda Narasimha Temple in Mattapalli, Telangana
Located in the middle of a dense and serene forest 140 kms away from Vijayawada, this swayambhu Deity of Sri Yogananda Narasimha was worshiped by Sage Bharadwaja and then revealed to the outer world through King Anumala Machireddy for everyone’s welfare.
The Lord resides here along with His topmost devotee Prahlada and another devotee called Chakri (in the form of a rectangular rock). It is said that Lord Narasimha drove away the invading Mughal army by sending innumerable bees to attack them. Read more
Sri Lakshmi Narasimha Temple in Wadapally, Telangana
It is the first temple of the Pancha Narasimha Kshetras located at the confluence of the Krishna river and Musi river. The Deity was brought down to earth from a different part of the universe by Sage Agastya and consecrated as per the desire of Lord Narasimha Himself.
The Deity here is said to be breathing. The constant flickering of the lamp placed near the lotus face of the Lord proves the same while the lamp placed beneath burns steadily. Read more
Sri Vajra Narasimha Temple in Kethavaram, Andhra Pradesh
Located on the Kedagiri hill in the deep and dense forests of Kethavaram by the cooling Krishna river, this swayambhu Deity of Lord Narasimha was revealed to King Ketha Varma through the dream of a Yadava king. For the convenience of devotees, a replica temple was made down-hill.
The festival Deities of the temple were found amidst diamond rocks. Hence, the Deity came to be called Vajra Narasimha Swamy. Festivals were celebrated grandly during the rule of the kings. Read more
Sri Panakala Narasimha Temple in Mangalagiri, Andhra Pradesh
This temple is famous for its panakam prasadam. Located on the Mangalagiri hill nearby Vijayawada, the swayambhu Deity of Lord Narasimha is represented by a huge mouth. He drinks a lot of panakam offered by His devotees every day. And half of this panakam is given back to devotees as prasadam.

Sri Yogananda Narasimha Temple in Vedadri, Andhra Pradesh
Standing on the banks of the Krishna river, Vedadri was formed by the combination of the four Vedapurushas i.e. the four vedas personified. Enhanced by the spiritual potency of various sages who have performed penances here, Vedadri is home to the Pancha Narasimha forms of Yogananda Narasimha, Jwala Narasimha, Veera Narasimha, Lakshmi Narasimha and Shalagrama Narasimha.
