When Hiranyakashipu asked Prahlada Maharaja about the presence of Lord Narayana, Prahlada replied that He is present in everything. Hiranyakashipu specifically asked about the presence of Lord Narayana in a pillar and Prahlada Maharaja assured about Lord Narayana’s presence in the pillar.
Lord Narasimha is omnipresent. He is seated in every atom. Similarly, Lord Narasimha is present in this tree here. This is a very serene and small temple where a devotee gets completely enchanted by the opulent nature.
The origin of Koppara Lakshmi Narasimha Temple
There was a great muni named Karpara Rishi who was a descendant of Bhrigu Muni. He used to daily worship Lord Narasimha on the banks of River Krishna. Pleased by his service, Lord Narasimha would give darshan daily. Only after attaining the darshan of the Lord, Karpara Rishi would eat.
As the Satya-yuga elapsed, Lord Narasimha informed Karpara Rishi that henceforth He will not be seen in the physical form. Rather, He shall manifest Himself in the form of a tree. Since then, even to this date, Lord Narasimha is worshiped here in the form of a tree.
During another incident, when they were about to chop the tree, they found out that the tree was filled with shaligramas from inside. Shaligrams begin dropping from it. This proved that Lord Narasimha is present in this tree and blessing His devotees.
Shodasha Bahu Narasimha or sixteen handed form of the Lord carved on a shaligrama shila receives a regular worship in the temple.
